Hver IP-adresse kan sende rundt 10 forespørsler per sekund, med korte topper. Over det svarer API-et med 429 og en Retry-After-header. Resultater som aldri endrer seg, bufres i ett døgn, så gjentatte kall går umiddelbart.

Trenger jeg en API-nøkkel?
Nei. API-et er gratis og åpent. Kall endepunktene over HTTPS fra serveren din, et skript eller nettleseren.
Hvilke fargeformater godtar det?
Alle CSS-farger: HEX, rgb(), hsl(), hwb(), lab(), lch(), oklab(), oklch() og color(display-p3 …), i tillegg til CSS-navn som navy, vanlige navn som royal blue og Tailwind-klasser som sky-500.
Hvordan rapporteres feil?
Feil sendes som application/problem+json med en tittel og en detalj som forteller hva som må rettes, for eksempel når en streng ikke kan leses som en farge.
